Therapeutic Changes to Protect Your Health
Transition to Telehealth
Last week I wrote to you indicating that I would be ramping up cleaning practices at my office and would be offering video and phone sessions as requested. Since that email, there have been new developments from our state and county health officials. This new information has led me to make the determination that it is in our best interest to transition all sessions to video or phone (telehealth) for the foreseeable future.
The service I use for video sessions is a confidential service called Zoom. This can be accessed on your smartphone, desktop/laptop or tablet. If you chose to use your smartphone or tablet, you will need to download the Zoom Cloud Meetings app. If you choose to use your desktop or laptop computer, you will be prompted to download the Zoom Client for Meetings program. In either case, you will not need to create an account with Zoom. The link and access password I email to you will be sufficient for access. I am also available for phone sessions, if you prefer that option.
Early in my psychotherapy training, a mentor told me to ‘trust the process’. By this he meant to trust that good and thoughtful action will lead to good results. I think that message is one that we would all do well to take to heart as we weather this together.

Therapeutic Offerings to Protect Your Health
My highest priority is to protect both the emotional and physical wellness of my patients. In response to the coronavirus, I have taken the following steps to ensure your health while working with me. We have increased the frequency of cleaning office fixtures and furniture.
I request that all patients wash their hands prior to session, I will be doing the same. We have continued to provide hand sanitizer at both our front desk, as well as in my therapy room.
Please feel free to help yourself. I am currently offering video sessions by request. If you would like to change an in-person session to a video session, please me know and I will send you more information.
I am closely monitoring recommendations from the local and state health authorities and will keep you updated in regard to therapy sessions. As of now, all in-person therapy sessions will be able to be held as scheduled.
Thank you for your care and understanding.
